AT THE WATER'S EDGE
Water represents your feeling, emotions and intuition. It is a passive element: like shallow or deep water. It can be still or destructive and turbulent. It is flexible and has movement. It knows my restless spirit. It calms me and calls for me. The heart of my artful soul.
It began with a camera and a love of light and shadow. I woke up with a yearning and became enthralled. For years I explored this first love and fell naturally into the world of the visual arts. I learn from observing others, listening just as often to my inner voice, failing gracefully and growing from each journey and creative adventure, mishap and personal glory. Success is measured with the last brush stroke that lets me step away in satisfaction. Every piece of art is a unique work.
I let my eyes interpret and convey my passion through the flow and creation, the mediums I choose. The lines and patterns of my craft are guided by the influence of emotion, spontaneity and raw materials on hand. I answer to the universal elements seeking to inspire and infuse my very soul and being as they dance my fingers over every canvas.
